Merideth Kaye Clark was the standby for Elphaba—musical theatre's most vocally challenging role—in the hit musical "Wicked" for the past two years. Although she performed the role over 150 times in 30+ cities, she often spent hours a week waiting backstage for her chance to be painted green. With that time on hand, and inspiration from the road, she has written "Young Stellar Object."
With the help of her producer and long-time collaborator Ricky Marson, Merideth has compiled 9 folk-pop songs that highlight her voice, as well as the talent of musicians from across the country and in the traveling orchestra of Wicked.
Girl Robot
A flash of silver, a streak of blonde, a laugh from hell...that's not any old girl, that's Girl Robot! Girl Robot is the outlandish story of an advanced robot prototype that, due to a laboratory accident, gets programmed as a female and must learn to function in the world as both a girl and a robot. Follow along as she blunders through an array of tasks, in order to help her become the first creature to possess both artificial intelligence and feminine intuition. Along the way, she discovers the wonder and the heartbreak of being alive—and the dilemma of being one of a kind.
